最后a Z i * J s,为大家奉上女王圣诞的演讲稿~

As a ch~ G L ! _ t ( @ild, I never imagined thatr 2 J b V 3 ) G s one day a man would walk on the moon. Yet this year we marked the 50th anniversary of tN X M /he famous Apollo 11 mission.C R & j *

As those historic pictures were beamed back to Earth, millions of us sat transfixed to our television screens, as we watched Neil Armstrong taking a small step for man and a giant leap for manki?

This year we marked ag _ S u Enother important anniversary: D-| X G n EDay. On 6th June 1944, s2 X * w 9 r t uome 156,000 British, Canadian and American f2 K Q E Eorces landed in northern France. It was the largest ever se] V + ) U eabourne invasion and was delayed due to bad weather.

I well remember the look of concern on my father’s facC R l / l V 9e. He knew the secret D-Day plans buJ 3 0 g – + R Jt could of course share that burdet X j @ 8 = C ) _n with no one.

For the 75th anniversary of that decisive battle, in a true spirit of reconciliation, those who had formallyv # q been sE 0 Dworn enemies came together in friendly commemorationsq 9 F either side of the Channel, putting past differences behi[ R 1nd them.

Such reconciliation seldom happens overnight. It takes patience and time to rebuild trust, an@ k : Z K Fd progress often comes through small st( R n 6 Feps.

The challenges mQ 3 Vany people face today may be different to those once faced by my generation, but I have been struck by how new generations hi g q Wav? : u C * b ke brought a similar sense of purpose to issues such as protecting our environment and our climate.

My family and I are also inspired by the men an~ t J { J 3 .d women of our emergency ser` ) m V C ; B [vices and armed f& r O eorces; and at Christmas we remember all those on duty at home and abroad* % v Q t i, who are helpi` e U X l Ing those in need and keeping us and our families safe and secure.

Of course, at the heart of the Christmas story lies the birth of a c* & k B 1hild: a seemingly small and insignificant step overlooked by many in Bethlehem.

But in time, through his teaching and by his example, Jesus Christ would show the world how small steps taken in faith and in hope can overcome long-held differences and deep-seated divisions to bring harmony and underx , estanding.

Many of us already try to follow in his footsteps. The path, ofT ; ! 7 y 5 D G { course, is not always smooth, and may at times this year have felt quite bumpy, but small steps can make a world of difference.k L X

As Christmas dawned, church congregations around the wo= c nrld joined in singing It Came Upon The Midnight Cf n e # 3 a # blear. “It’s a timely reminder of what positive things can be achieved when people set aside past differences and comx c J { ! k # b Re together in the spirit of friendK I o A $ship and reconciliation.
